Our year continues to go very well in the 3/4 classroom! We have a busy and fun week ahead. Below we have listed the highlights of the week as a reminder to both students and families. As always please email or call with any questions or concerns!
Mrs. Raynor and Ms. Daye
Homework this week:
At one of the learning stations on Friday students will be exploring what it was like to leave your home and journey across the world to a new life. Part of this hands on learning experience is writing a postcard home about their “journey”. To make sure all students can participate please have your child write their address on the index card and practice it each night until Friday.
Thursday September 28
Early Release students will be dismissed at 12:50pm
Friday September 29
Shelburne Museum visit! We will leave school at 8:30am and return back around 3:30-3:45pm. If you have any questions about our late arrival back to school please let us know. Also, we are putting an order into the cafeteria for lunches. If you child needs a lunch and you DID NOT put it on the permission slip form already please let us know by Wednesday if you will need us to pack a lunch for your child. We will be doing some really neat hands on learning and students will be making some things related to the Vermont studies, which will be a great souvenir of their visit. Due to this and our very busy schedule of learning we will NOT be going to the gift shop on this visit.
3rd and 4th Graders thought about what it means to be good listeners and how eye contact can help us to hear and understand directions. These photos show students giving and listening to directions on how to arrange pattern blocks into a specific design.
