Parents and Guardians:

We want to do a quick check in with you on how the weeks have been going!  Students have really settled into their daily routines and expectations.  We have seen a lot of focused learning happening each day.
Students are working on finishing up their adapted fairy tales this week!  Hopefully we will have them finished to share with you at parent teacher conferences!
In math fourth graders have been working on multi-digit multiplication and using the area model to solve these larger equations.  In third grade students have been working on repeated addition and how it connects to multiplication. Additionally, third graders have been been learning to read analog clocks to the nearest minute.
In reading they have been analyzing the characters in their guided reading books.  They also have been working independently on continued practice of summarizing their reading and making inferences.
Next Friday November 10th is parent teacher conferences.  We have sent your child home with a form to fill out requesting your top three choices for conference time.  We will fill spots as soon as the form is returned to us.  Once we have your time set we will be sending home another paper confirming the time of your conference.  Please have the forms filled out and back to us by Thursday so we can set a time ASAP.   If the time you get does not work please give us a call or email and we will reschedule.  We cannot wait to have the opportunity to sit down and share your child’s learning with you!

Sincerely,

Ms. Daye and Mrs. Raynor
