Siskin

In Siskin today we learned about animal tracks.  Then we went on a hike and we found fox tracks and coyote tracks outside in the forest by our classroom.  -Ian Bailey

We are Thankful.....

3rd and 4th Graders are thankful for so many things. Students made books to share with their families about all the things they are thankful for.

Reading and Read Aloud

Students in grade 3 and 4 have been working during guided reading times in small groups analyzing how texts by the same author or simialr themes are alike and different.   During read aloud this week we have been focusing on Vermont Author Natalie Kinsey-Warnock and how her stories compare and contrast with one another.

Parents and Guardians:
We have been busy in our classrooms finishing our adapted fairy tales and gathering information for our presentations.
Students have been told that the gymnasium floor has been waxed and that they will need to bring clean sneakers to wear to PE.  This will be the last week of wearing outside shoes on the gym floor.
With Thanksgiving happening next week and there being only two days of school we are planning to do learning about what Thanksgiving is and also doing some fun projects.  For one of the projects we will need a half pint mason jar for each student.  If you have any extra of these at home that our classroom could have that would be greatly appreciated.  We are looking to have them collected by Friday so that we can go purchase the amount we may need this weekend so we can start the project Monday.  Thank you in advance for any you can give to our classroom.

Sincerely,

Ms. Daye and Mrs. Raynor
